An Austrian Secession bronze picture frame attributed to Gustave Gurschner decorated with secession design throughout and further ornamented in gold throughout. The frame is unsigned.

Gustave Gurschner was born 1873 and died in 1970. He was an Austrian Sculptor best known for his great technical skills in metal and to create banal everyday objects such as door signs and door knockers, desk sets and lamps, paperweights, seals or even flower pots so extraordinary that, in addition to their practical found particularly useful as small works of art already in his time great recognition and appreciation is what he was best known for.
