Condition:
Overall in very good condition. When viewed firsthand, the lamp displays a bright green color that is accented by strongly iridized decoration in tones of aqua and lavender. The shade with scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions and surface irregularities inherent in the making, not visually detractive. The glass with some scattered extremely minor and fine surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling, with some slightly more concentrated surface wear and scratches near the upper aperture resulting from contact with the shade fitter. The upper aperture of the shade with a shallow chip measuring approximately 1 inch wide, not visible when the shade is installed. The lower edge of the shade was possibly ground down slightly at some point in the history of the piece, only visible upon close inspection and not visually detractive. The upper part of the base that supports the shade swivels forward and backward to allow the shade to adjust. The base is in overall very good condition with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and wear consistent with age and use. The base with some areas of oxidation and traces of surface soiling concentrated to the recessed contours of the design. The favrile glass ball above the socket is in very good condition with scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions and surface irregularities inherent in the making, and with some scattered extremely minor and fine surface scratches consistent with age and handling. With a period socket.
